The USC areas involved in the project Res2ValHum are the Environmental Technology Laboratory of the Technological Research Institute, the Department of Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry, and the Department of Physical Chemistry. The researchers belong to the Research Groups of Excellency Ambiosol GI-1245 (GRC2014/003) and to the CRETUS Strategic Partnership (Centre for Research in Environmental Technologies, University of Santiago de Compostela, AGRUP2015/02).

The working group is specialized in Soil Science, Biogeochemistry and Geomorphology. The main lines of research currently fall within the areas of Soil Science, Physical Chemistry, Environmental Technology and Environmental Studies, Environmental Chemistry, Biogeochemistry and Physical Geography. The general lines of work are focused on the study of environmental quality, contamination of soils and water, waste valorization, soil cartography, biogeochemical processes, nanomaterials, technosols, biochar, or phyto-technologies.
